Sharpies are good for your soul

Out of the picture, out of the frame, and now when you see me, nothings the same!

Hey everybody! Its almost midnight, it has been an amazingly long day, but I’m full of energy right now! Soooooo, lucky you!

Latest highlights in the life of your favorite frump girl. (I better be your favorite.)

1.) The weather has SUCKED!

2.) Swimming is so much fun, but I don’t like what chlorine does to my skin. Dash it all. Oh and I had a total blonde moment and I thought that maybe I would leave my contacts in when I went to the pool the other day, and that worked out great until I swam under water with my eyes open for about forty feet and when I came up for air one contact was gone and one was under my eyelid. HA! Talk about pain. After I got the little jerk out we had some good laughs though.

3.) Do any of you know that song “At Last” - By Etta James? You know the one, it goes “At last, my love has come along, my lonely days are over. And life is like a song...”. Okay, so my entire life I have thought she was singing “Adolescence, my love has come along...” Adolescence, not “At Last”! Arg! So I just found out last night that she never said adolescence, and to take the perfect opportunity to use a dramatic metaphor this being a blog and all, my world is now falling out from under my feet. I simply cannot believe this.

4.) I have tennis shoes! Real awesome Wilson tennis shoes! They feel wonderful, I adore them. The girls and I all bought shoes, we are stoked.

5.) We gave another bead class tonight, it was a great one. Four different people came in with special orders, in addition to the others who bought kits, so I had to dash around and get them designed while Mom was giving the lecture and wow... what a crazy busy class. it was fun though. It still blows me away sometimes that so many people come to our classes, it’s just weird.

6.) As mentioned before, the weather has been CRAZY, and we’ve had some wicked storms. I can see some fantastic lightning flashing outside my window right now, looks like we’re in for it again tonight. This has been such an odd summer. Whoa, the house just shook. (Thunder.)

7.) The girls and I have been very bitter towards couples this week. Usually we think most of them are cute, but we’ve been grumpy and unforgiving of any mush lately. I think we’re turning into a bunch of old biddies, at least Emily and I are. Laura... well... she is still Laura. (*sigh* Boys, boys, boys... eh Laura? *wink*)

More to come, the day has finally caught up with me, and sleep calls...

The good news is that those thunderstorms dropped the temperature 20 degrees. At least they did in Omaha.
